The Sleep Inn & Suites Augusta West Near Fort Gordon receives mixed reviews, with cleanliness and service being major concerns. Recent feedback highlights issues with room conditions, including mold, stains, and unpleasant odors, alongside unsettling staff behavior. While some guests appreciate the breakfast and location, the overwhelming negative experiences suggest significant problems with maintenance and customer service.
Easy off and on the interstate. Clean rooms, the most comfy bed I have slept in for months! They also have a great hot breakfast! Every single staff member was so nice and helpful. If you come to Grovetown, definitely stay here, best hotel around!
Ok room. I wish they had more breakfast options like grits fresh eggs. Staff was nice .
I stayed here during the Peach Games in Augusta and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and much better than the hotel I stayed at the night before. This hotel was noticeably cleaner, and the price was also very reasonable, especially compared to other hotels in the area that were charging much more. I’d stay here again next time I’m in town!
The rooms like decent on the surface but once you get settled, you see all the issues. The first room we were given (Room 210) had an unmade bed, clearly signifying a dirty room. The second room (Room 310) was better but far from the best. It was partially clean, had a weird smell & the toilet seat wasn’t cleaned at all. I excused those things as I clean hotel rooms for my own security & the Lysol itself would take care of the small. However, I couldn’t ignore the shower situation. The tub and walls of the shower were down right filthy. The shower head itself wasn’t affixed to the wall so though it was a one night stay, I couldn’t wash. See photo. This is just ghetto & im sure there is a cheap tool online that the hotel manager, Peter Patel, could purchase to fix this. Then, the tvs barely work. When trying to change the channel, the tv would revert to the channel I was trying to get away from several times. Then, when it finally did change, the visuals stopped working & it was starting static but the audio to the shows was still fully intact. Just ghettooooo! 0/10 don’t stay here.
We checked in and noticed that there was a piece of furniture that was not stable. We decided not put on the piece. I walked past and the piece broke. I call the front desk informed KP. KP came back and called me a liar and told me I had to pay 300 dollars for the piece of furniture. When I spoke with his boss, he told me to pay KP the money in cash. After I explained that that was not going to happen and that if my grand son had been injured, we would be having a whole different conversation. The manager/owner told me that he did not need my money. My first and last time staying at a Sleep Inn.
KP who works for the front desk was very rude. He called my parebt a liar to her face when we told about the faulted furniture. We didn't even use it and it was torn. The wifi does not work. The pool area Is dirty and the price is over priced for one night. I will never ever come here again. Somebody needs to fix the customer service.
I booked a room for a 1 night stay as a mom’s quiet night for myself. I arrived at this hotel around 2pm to check in. The front desk agent told me check in was at 3 so I showed him my email where it stated that check in was 2pm. He proceeded to check me in and it was a fast process. Although I wasn’t informed about breakfast times, pool hours, or checkout time. When I got to the room it looked decent but smelled terrible. It was like someone smoked in the room and tried to cover it up. The sheets looked clean minus a few random hairs. The bathtub looked gross and there was a used bar of soap in it. The walls in the room need scrubbed. There was something all over them. I laid down to take a nap shortly after I arrived. When I woke up I had a terrible headache. A while later I noticed the pillow I had been using was covered in mold. I’m not sure how housekeeping missed the mold. It was absolutely covered. I was at the end of the second floor. The light outside my door was hanging down, by the wires. They did fix that while I was there though. The stairwell door was almost across from me. Every time someone opened it, the door would scrape on the floor very loudly. It happened more than you’d think. Someone next to me had a dog that barked throughout the night and you could hear everything that happened in the hallway. The remote was gross and covered in something. The vent in the bathroom was very rusted and gross and the A/C desperately needs cleaned. It was actually disgusting. This place has not been recently renovated in the slightest. There’s a lot of food options close by and activities as well. The area is nice. It was a decent stay for the price but I will be looking elsewhere next time.
Very disappointed for a Sleep Inn. We've stayed at numerous locations in FL and TN, and this was horrible. Mold in the bathroom, bathroom faucet handle was not secured and kept falling off every time we turned it on, horribly squeaking bathroom door hinges, loose shower curtain rod, short dark hairs in the sink and shower, carpet stains, and unfriendly front desk person that barely spoke English.
I give the room 5 stars but the people that work here are WEIRD ! They stare at you and also FOLLOW you around. Me and my 6 year old went to get breakfast and was literally FOLLOWED and WATCHED. When I noticed, he did a fake smile and waved then walked off. Very uncomfortable because why are you following and watching me and my child
If I could give this place a zero, I would. I booked this hotel late on Priceline due to some personal issues. I came in at after 1 am; once I came in, the person on duty had to be found. But I could understand because they have other duties. But I checked in and got into the room. It was my mother, my goddaughters, and me. My goddaughters are 4 and 1. Upon walking in the room, the room had a foul odor. My oldest goddaughter and I went downstairs to get air freshener and came back up and sprayed the room. The front desk asked for the air freshener back, so after spraying the room, I took the air freshener back. When I walked back in the room, my mom stated that the tub was dirty. With being tired from the already late night, I didn’t understand what she said into the morning. But my mom just cleaned out the tub and took a shower upon waking up the next morning. I took a shower, and when walking in the room to get my goddaughter up to get her ready, I saw a stink bug on the ceiling. So I woke my mom up and I told her to hurry up and get dressed, and I got dressed as well and dressed my oldest daughter. In the midst of my mom changing my youngest goddaughter, I looked over it and saw that the stink bug had gotten into the bed and was near my mom and my daughter. We just gathered everything that we could that was ours and left. We let the person at the front desk know about these concerns and showed the pictures of the concerns, and nothing was done about it. Being that I booked through Priceline, they were able to compensate me for what they could, but the hotel refused to give any type of refund or compensate me for my problems at all. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Also after Priceline spoke with them I called to talk with them myself the man told me they do not have bugs and all hotels tub is dirty.
