Guests report inconsistent cleanliness issues, including dirty bathrooms, stained bedding, and lingering odors. While some praise the friendly staff and convenient location, recurring complaints about billing discrepancies, questionable front desk staff behavior, and a lack of basic amenities create significant concerns. The property appears to struggle with consistent operational standards.
Reserved my room with Booking. Had a quoted price with Booking, at $85, got charged $94. Woman at the desk had already run my card and said that I needed to call Booking. Now I have to go through a whole process over $9. It just pisse me off being overcharged for a room i Reserved in advance. From now on, I will just book my stays across the street at Baymont, less money and no trouble checking in.
Perfect budget hotel for a masters day. Room was clean and beds were pristine. A few signs of wear and tear but all in all it was a great crash pad that didn’t break the bank
Booked two rooms on Expedia with a cancellation date of April 7, on March 7 they charged me over $1300 for the two rooms even though I canceled inside my window with Expedia. Than Expedia and hotel told me their policy are different (read below crazy) so I’m not entitled to a refund even though you can see in picture Expedia confirmed cancellation and no charges will be made. Expedia called the hotel five times I called once they sound very shady. Beware of these people, Expedia is trying to have no responsibility for what the hotel does, even though they passed on my credit card info to Hotel. Expedia basically said “we are done, fight it through your credit card we have no power over them”.
Easy off and on the interstate. Clean rooms, the most comfy bed I have slept in for months! They also have a great hot breakfast! Every single staff member was so nice and helpful. If you come to Grovetown, definitely stay here, best hotel around!
Ok room. I wish they had more breakfast options like grits fresh eggs. Staff was nice .
I stayed here during the Peach Games in Augusta and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and much better than the hotel I stayed at the night before. This hotel was noticeably cleaner, and the price was also very reasonable, especially compared to other hotels in the area that were charging much more. I’d stay here again next time I’m in town!
The rooms like decent on the surface but once you get settled, you see all the issues. The first room we were given (Room 210) had an unmade bed, clearly signifying a dirty room. The second room (Room 310) was better but far from the best. It was partially clean, had a weird smell & the toilet seat wasn’t cleaned at all. I excused those things as I clean hotel rooms for my own security & the Lysol itself would take care of the small. However, I couldn’t ignore the shower situation. The tub and walls of the shower were down right filthy. The shower head itself wasn’t affixed to the wall so though it was a one night stay, I couldn’t wash. See photo. This is just ghetto & im sure there is a cheap tool online that the hotel manager, Peter Patel, could purchase to fix this. Then, the tvs barely work. When trying to change the channel, the tv would revert to the channel I was trying to get away from several times. Then, when it finally did change, the visuals stopped working & it was starting static but the audio to the shows was still fully intact. Just ghettooooo! 0/10 don’t stay here.
We checked in and noticed that there was a piece of furniture that was not stable. We decided not put on the piece. I walked past and the piece broke. I call the front desk informed KP. KP came back and called me a liar and told me I had to pay 300 dollars for the piece of furniture. When I spoke with his boss, he told me to pay KP the money in cash. After I explained that that was not going to happen and that if my grand son had been injured, we would be having a whole different conversation. The manager/owner told me that he did not need my money. My first and last time staying at a Sleep Inn.
KP who works for the front desk was very rude. He called my parebt a liar to her face when we told about the faulted furniture. We didn't even use it and it was torn. The wifi does not work. The pool area Is dirty and the price is over priced for one night. I will never ever come here again. Somebody needs to fix the customer service.
I booked a room for a 1 night stay as a mom’s quiet night for myself. I arrived at this hotel around 2pm to check in. The front desk agent told me check in was at 3 so I showed him my email where it stated that check in was 2pm. He proceeded to check me in and it was a fast process. Although I wasn’t informed about breakfast times, pool hours, or checkout time. When I got to the room it looked decent but smelled terrible. It was like someone smoked in the room and tried to cover it up. The sheets looked clean minus a few random hairs. The bathtub looked gross and there was a used bar of soap in it. The walls in the room need scrubbed. There was something all over them. I laid down to take a nap shortly after I arrived. When I woke up I had a terrible headache. A while later I noticed the pillow I had been using was covered in mold. I’m not sure how housekeeping missed the mold. It was absolutely covered. I was at the end of the second floor. The light outside my door was hanging down, by the wires. They did fix that while I was there though. The stairwell door was almost across from me. Every time someone opened it, the door would scrape on the floor very loudly. It happened more than you’d think. Someone next to me had a dog that barked throughout the night and you could hear everything that happened in the hallway. The remote was gross and covered in something. The vent in the bathroom was very rusted and gross and the A/C desperately needs cleaned. It was actually disgusting. This place has not been recently renovated in the slightest. There’s a lot of food options close by and activities as well. The area is nice. It was a decent stay for the price but I will be looking elsewhere next time.
